The Gini Ratio in March 2024 was recorded at 0.370

Abstract

  • In March 2024, the level of expenditure inequality among the population of Southeast Sulawesi as measured by the Gini Ratio will be 0.370. This figure is down 0.001 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.371 and down 0.017 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was 0.387.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.392, down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.393 and the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was 0.404.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.330, down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.338 and the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was 0.352. 
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of spending on  the bottom 40 percent group was 18.06 percent. This is meaningful Population expenditure in March 2024 will be in the low inequality level category. If broken down by region, in urban areas the Gini ratio is 17.13 percent. This value is included in the low inequality category. Meanwhile, for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 19.48 percent, or in the low inequality category.
