The Gini Ratio for September 2020 was recorded at 0.388

Abstract

  • In September 2020, the level of expenditure inequality of the Southeast Sulawesi population as measured by the Gini Ratio was 0.388. This figure decreased by 0.001 points when compared to the March 2020 Gini Ratio of 0.389. Meanwhile, when compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.393, the September 2020 Gini Ratio fell by 0.05 points.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2020 was recorded at 0.403, down from the Gini Ratio in March 2020 which was 0.404 and an increase compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2019 which was 0.402.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2020 was recorded at 0.348, an increase compared to March 2020 which was recorded at 0.347 and decreased compared to the Gini Ratio in September 2019 which was 0.353.
  • In September 2020, the distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population group was 17.19 percent. This means that population expenditure is already in the low level of inequality category. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure is recorded at 16.58 percent, which means that it is in the moderate inequality category. Meanwhile, for rural areas, the figure was 18.82 percent, which means it is included in the low inequality category.
