In March 2018, the level of inequality of Southeast Sulawesi population expenditure as measured by Gini Ratio was 0.409. This figure increased by 0.005 points when compared with Gini Ratio September 2017 which amounted to 0.404. Meanwhile, if compared with Gini Ratio of March 2017 which amounted to 0.394, Gini Ratio in March 2018 rose by 0.015 points.
Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2018 was recorded at 0.420 up compared to Gini Ratio of September 2017 which amounted to 0.408 and Gini Ratio of March 2017 which amounted to 0.403. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2018 was recorded at 0.370 down compared to September 2017 which was recorded at 0.373 but up compared to Gini Ratio in March 2017 which amounted to 0.358.
In March 2018, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 15.84 percent. This means that the population expenditure is still in the category of moderate inequality level. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is 15.32 percent, which means it is in the category of moderate inequality. While for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 17.35 percent, which means fall into the category of low inequality.
