Abstract

  • Southeast Sulawesi NTP in February 2019 was recorded at 92.87 or decreased by 1.01 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 93.82. The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 89.33; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 92.33; Community Plantation Crop Subsector (NTPR) 82.22; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 104.69 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 116.37. While the National NTP Index was 102.94 or fell by 0.37 percent from 103.33.
  • In February 2019, 15 national provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 18 other provinces experienced a decline in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Riau Province, which amounted to 1.58 percent, while the biggest decrease was recorded in Central Sulawesi Province at 1.47 percent.
  • In February 2019 Southeast Sulawesi Province recorded a rural deflation of 0.46 percent. This was due to a significant decrease in the price index in one household consumption group, namely the foodstuff sub-group with a decrease of 1.49 percent. While the other subgroups were recorded to rise, namely the sub-group of processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.62 percent; housing group 0.18 percent; clothing group 0.19 percent; health group 0.08 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.10 percent; and from the transportation and communication group rose by 0.19 percent.
