South East Sulawesi's NTP index in June 2018 was 95.81, a decrease of 0.97 percent compared to 96.76 in the previous month. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 86,91; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 92,51; Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 91.60; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.50; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 116,93. While the National NTP Index of 102.04 or rose by 0.05 percent from the previous 101.99.
In June 2018, nationally 20 provinces experienced an increase in NTP Index, while 13 other provinces experienced a decrease in index. The highest increase was recorded in Maluku Province by 0.78 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Riau Province of 1.87 percent.
In June 2018, Southeast Sulawesi province recorded a 1.26 percent inflation in rural areas. This is due to an increase in the price index in all household consumption groups, ie foodstuffs rose 2.25 percent; food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco 0.34 percent; housing group 0.29 percent; clothing group by 2.50 percent; health group 0.14 percent; education, recreation and sports group by 0.24 percent; and transport and communications group rose by 0.22 percent.
