Abstract

  • Southeast Sulawesi's NTP index in January 2018 was 94.37 or decreased 1.16 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 95.47.
  • NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 91,94; Horticultural Subsector (NTPH) 90.13; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 87,24; Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) 104.22; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 116.03. While the National NTP Index of 102.92 or decreased by 0.14 percent from 103.10 previously.
  • In January 2018, nationally 10 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while the 23 provinces indexed. The highest increase was recorded in Aceh Province by 0.89 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Bangka Belitung Province by 2.46 percent.
  • In January 2018, Southeast Sulawesi Province recorded a 1.31 percent inflation in rural areas. This is due to the rise of the price index in all household consumption groups, namely the foodstuff category rose by 2.47 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.58 percent; housing group 0.56 percent; clothing group by 0.30 percent; health group 0.45 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.26 percent; as well as transportation and communication groups rose by 0.16
