National Labor Force Survey Data Collection

February 11, 2019 | BPS Activities

Friday, February 8, 2019, officials of the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) of North Kolaka Regency began to collect data in the field. Data collection is done by direct interviews with respondents. The number of Sakernas samples in January was 120 households which were scattered in almost all sub-districts in North Kolaka.

The National Labor Force Survey is a routine BPS activity designed specifically to collect data that can describe the general state of employment between periods of enumeration.

SAKERNAS 2019 data collection is expected to provide results that are in accordance with field conditions so that it can provide an overview for stakeholders to alleviate unemployment and other social policies for the welfare of the community, especially in North Kolaka.

The importance of this sacernas data, becomes a serious concern of BPS for the quality of the data produced. One thing that is done to maintain quality is intensive field supervision. Supervision is carried out since household upgrades to the data collection process. Supervisors actively assist and evaluate the performance of enumerators so that possible errors can be avoided as early as possible and help resolve problems encountered by enumerators in the implementation of the field.

In addition to field supervision, to ensure better quality of Sakernas data, BPS conducts Quality Monitoring (MK). On February 8-10 2019. Head of the Division of Social Statistics Dani Jaelani S.Si, M.T. accompanied by the head of the Section Head of Social Resilience Statistics Azwar Surahman SST., MA BPS Southeast Sulawesi Province monitored the quality of Susenas data in the district. Ngapa and Kec. Pakue. It is hoped that this quality monitoring can maintain the quality of data produced by field officers. Quality monitoring is a form of commitment from BPS to produce quality data
