Training of National Labor Force Survey Officer (Sakernas) and Informal Workers Survey (SPIN)

The Central Bureau of Statistics of Southeast Sulawesi Province conducts the training of the National Labor Force Supervisory Workers (SAKERNAS) and the Informal Workers Survey (SPIN) conducted on 16-20 January 2018. The training was attended by representatives from 17 districts / cities held at DBlitz Kendari Hotel .

National Labor Force Survey is a routine BPS activity designed specifically to collect data that can describe the general state of labor between enumeration periods. Just like the previous year SAKERNAS was implemented in February and August 2018. From each selected household collected information on the general state of each household member that includes name, relationship with head of household, sex, and age. For household members aged 10 years and over will be asked information about marital status, education and employment.

One of the new activities undertaken by BPS to increase the variety of BPS employment data is one of them is the Informal Workers Survey. An informal worker survey specifically photographed the structure of informal workers in Indonesia. The implementation of SPIN activities is integrated with sakernas 2018.

Training training of SAKERNAS and SPIN officers this time conducted theory in the classroom and tryout directly to the field interviewed respondents around the training location. The hope is that the officers have the concept and definition and perform their duties with the correct and the same SOP. So the field data generated in accordance with field conditions and employment data, especially in Southeast Sulawesi Province can provide an overview for policy makers to alleviate unemployment and other social policies for the welfare of the community, especially in Southeast Sulawesi Province.
