November 2024 Exports Reach US$375.04 Million and November 2024 Imports Worth US$102.23 Million

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade as reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Notification Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. The commodities that have been Southeast Sulawesi's mainstay include iron and steel and various marine products, while the export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in November 2024 reached US$375.04 million or increased by 23.39 percent compared to exports in October 2024 which were recorded at US$303.94 million. In line with that, the export volume in November 2024 was recorded at 287.04 thousand tons or increased by 34.98 percent compared to the export volume in October 2024 which was recorded at 212.64 thousand tons.
The largest increase in Southeast Sulawesi's exports in November 2024 occurred in iron and steel commodities worth US$68.97 million (up 22.80 percent) where in October 2024 it was US$302.55 million, increasing to US$371.52 million in November 2024.
The value of Southeast Sulawesi's imports in November 2024 reached US$102.23 million, down 11.41 percent compared to October 2024 or down 39.76 percent compared to November 2023.
The volume of imports in November 2024 was 353.50 thousand tons, up 18.07 percent compared to October 2024 or down 29.00 percent compared to November 2023.
The largest decrease in the value of imports of goods in November 2024 compared to October 2024 was mineral fuels of US$23.29 million (down)
