July 2024 Exports Reach US$293.48 Million, July 2024 Imports Worth US$109.20 Million

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi with all its natural resource potential has opportunities in foreign trade as reflected in export statistics. Export Statistics Data is obtained from the Export Notification Document (PEB) from Customs and Excise. The commodities that have been Southeast Sulawesi's mainstay include iron and steel and various marine products, while the export destination countries are spread across the continents of Asia to America.
The export value of Southeast Sulawesi in July 2024 reached US$293.48 million or decreased by 3.54 percent compared to exports in June 2024 which were recorded at US$304.24 million. On the other hand, the export volume in July 2024 was recorded at 254.79 thousand tons or increased by 17.11 percent compared to the export volume in June 2024 which was recorded at 217.55 thousand tons.
The import value of Southeast Sulawesi in July 2024 reached US$109.20 million, down 50.55 percent compared to June 2024 or down 12.10 percent compared to July 2023.
The import volume in July 2024 was 205.36 thousand tons, down 49.17 percent compared to June 2024 or down 43.79 percent compared to July 2023.
The largest decrease in the import value of goods in July 2024 compared to June 2024 was iron and steel at US$54.71 million (down 75.27 percent).
