Abstract

The number of labor force in February 2024 was 1,400.05 thousand people, an increase of 68.69 thousand people compared to February 2023. In line with the increase in the number of labor force, the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) also increased by 2.09 percentage points.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February 2024 was 3.22 percent, down 0.44 percentage points compared to February 2023 or down 0.64 percentage points compared to February 2022.
The working population is 1,355.01 thousand people, an increase of 72.38 thousand people from February 2023 or an increase of 123.10 thousand people from February 2022
The jobs that experienced the largest increase from February 2023 were in the Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries category (2.31 percentage points). Meanwhile, employment that experienced the largest decline was the Manufacturing Industry (2.34 percentage points).
A total of 887.72 thousand people (65.51 percent) worked in informal activities, an increase of 2.64 percentage points from February 2023.
Non-full employment increased compared to February 2023, where underemployment increased by 1.08 percentage points and the percentage of part-time workers increased by 3.06 percentage points.
