Abstract

The number of labor force in Southeast Sulawesi in August 2016 reached 1,253,624 people, increased by about 115,579 people (10.16 percent) compared to August 2015 of 1,138,045 people. The number of people working in Southeast Sulawesi in August 2016 reached 1,219,548 people, growing by 144,632 people (13.46 percent) compared to August 2015 of 1,074,916 people.

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Southeast Sulawesi in August 2016 reached 2.72 percent, decreasing 2.83 points compared to the August 2012 TPT of 5.55 percent.

The agricultural sector, trade and services sectors respectively became the largest contributors to employment in August 2016, each at 474,619 (38.92 percent), 243,357 (19.95 percent), and 225,534 (18.49 percent).
