  • Kendari City inflation in November 2018 was recorded at 0.28 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 128.59. Nationally, from 82 cities that calculated inflation, 70 cities recorded inflation and 12 cities recorded deflation. The highest inflation was recorded in Merauke (Papua Province) 2.05 percent and the lowest inflation was recorded in Balikpapan (East Kalimantan Province) 0.01 percent.
  • Inflation in Kendari City was caused by an increase in the price index in the clothing group 0.68 percent; Transportation, communication and financial services 0.58 percent; food ingredients 0.34 percent; health 0.10 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.09 percent and processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.05 percent. While the education, recreation and sports groups did not experience changes / were relatively stable.
  • Commodities contributing to inflation are air transportation; rice; long beans; milkfish / sponge; long eggplant; Kale; mustard greens; fuel; banana heart and female sergeant pants.
  • The commodity contributing to deflation is skipjack / scales; vegetable tomatoes; Cayenne pepper; cooking oil; squid; garlic; katamba; bloated / bloated / banjo / gembolo / aso-aso; tempeh and baronang.
