Abstract

  • South East Sulawesi's NTP index in December 2017 was 95.47 or an increase of 0.27 percent compared to the previous month's record of 95.22. The NTP index of each sub-sector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP) 91.19; Horticultural Subsector (NTPH) 91.13; Subsector of Smallholder Plantation (NTPR) 90.12; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 104.60; and Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) 115,96. While the National NTP Index of 103.06 or decreased by 0.01 percent from 103.07 previously.
  • In December 2017, nationally 14 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP Index, while the other 19 provinces experienced a decrease in index. The highest increase was recorded in West Kalimantan Province of 0.99 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in Gorontalo Province by 1.05 percent.
  • In December 2017, Southeast Sulawesi province recorded a 0.39 percent rural inflation. This was due to an increase in the price index in six categories of household consumption, ie foodstuff category rose by 0.58 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco by 0.43 percent; clothing group by 0.23 percent; health group 0.20 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.32 percent; as well as transport and communications group rose by 0.15 percent. While the housing group fell 0.01 percent.
