  • Deflation Kendari City in October 2015, stood at -0.36 percent in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 117.58. Nationally from 82 cities that calculate inflation, 44 cities recorded deflation and the 38 cities recorded inflation, the highest deflation was recorded in Tanjung Pandan (Bangka Belitung) 1.95 percent and the lowest deflation was recorded in the City Padangsidimpuan (Povinsi West Sumatra) 0.01. While the highest inflation was recorded in the city of Manado (North Sulawesi) 1.49 percent.
  • Deflation in Kendari recorded due to lower food price index in the group of 1.40 percent; clothing 0.28 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.11 percent; 0.03 percent of health and education, recreation and sport 0.01 percent. While processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco as well as transport, communication and financial services respectively tercata inflation of 0.28 percent and 0.01 percent.
  • Commodities that contributed the greatest deflation is skipjack; cooking oil; anchovies; spinach; squid; household fuel; live chickens; yellow tail; pomfret and overpasses.
  • Commodities that contributed the greatest inflation is cayenne pepper; filter cigarettes; parang pumpkin / sweet / red; Muslim dress; collared shirt; cassava leaves; wet shrimp; beef; tomato fruit as well as mobile phones.
  • Of the eleven cities on the island of Sulawesi, 7 cities recorded deflation and 4 cities recorded inflation. The highest deflation was recorded at 1.03 percent Bulukumba City (South Sulawesi) and 1.02 per cent of the City Baubau (Southeast Sulawesi Province). While the highest inflation in the city of Manado (North Sulawesi) 1.49 percent.
