Abstract

  1. Farmer Exchange Rate is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib)
  2. Farmer exchange rate is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. Farmer exchange rate also shows the exchange rate of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
  3. The Farmer Exchange Rate of Southeast Sulawesi in February 2025 fell by 1.31 percent from 120.03 to 118.45. The decline in the NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) falling by 0.60 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) rose by 0.72 percent.
  4. The Farmer Exchange Rate of each sub-sector is recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 98.56; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 110.50; People's Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 137.40; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.70 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 103.92. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index is 123.45 or down 0.18 percent from the previous month of 123.68.
  5. In February 2025, there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index in Southeast Sulawesi by 0.83 percent, one of the causes of which was dominated by an increase in the index value in the food, beverage and tobacco expenditure group.
