Sulawesi Tenggara’s GRDP Growth Rate in Q4-2024 was 5.08 percent (y-on-y)

Abstract

The economy of Sulawesi Tenggara, based on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in 2024, reached IDR 189.48 trillion, while at constant 2010 prices, it amounted to IDR 113.99 trillion.
In 2024, the economy of Sulawesi Tenggara experienced a growth of 5.40 percent (c-to-c), an increase compared to 2023, which recorded a growth of 5.35 percent. From the production side, the Manufacturing Industry recorded the highest growth at 12.98 percent. On the expenditure side, the Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households Final Consumption Expenditure (NPISHs FCE) experienced the highest growth at 12.42 percent.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, the economy of Sulawesi Tenggara grew by 5.08 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the Information and Communication recorded the highest growth at 9.92 percent. On the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditure experienced the highest growth at 7.32 percent.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, compared to the third quarter of 2024, the economy of Sulawesi Tenggara grew by 5.87 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the Manufacturing Industry recorded the highest growth at 17.74 percent. Meanwhile, on the expenditure side, the highest growth occurred in the Export of Goods and Services, which increased by 22.35 percent.
From the production perspective, the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries contributed the most to the GRDP of Southeast Sulawesi in 2024, accounting for 23.48 percent. On the expenditure side, the largest contribution came from the Household Consumption Expenditure, which accounted for 46.14 percent.
