The value of Southeast Sulawesi's exports in December 2024 or decreased by 15.14 percent compared to exports in November 2024, while the value of Southeast Sulawesi's imports in December 2024 reached an increase of 26.40 percent.

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi's export value in December 2024 reached US$318.26 million, down 15.14 percent compared to exports in November 2024 which was recorded at US$375.04 million. Correspondingly, the export volume in December 2024 was recorded at 280.95 thousand tons, down 2.12 percent compared to the export volume in November 2024 which was recorded at 287.04 thousand tons.

By sector, Southeast Sulawesi exports in December 2024 were dominated by the processing industry sector amounting to US $ 316.26 million (99.37 percent).

Southeast Sulawesi exports in December 2024 were the largest to China at US$ 269.61 million, followed by India at US$ 34.40 million and South Korea at US$ 12.40 million.

Southeast Sulawesi's import value in December 2024 reached US$129.22 million, up 26.40 percent compared to November 2024 or down 29.58 percent compared to December 2023. The import volume in December 2024 was 360.38 thousand tons, up 1.95 percent compared to November 2024 or down 26.47 percent compared to December 2023.

The three largest supplier countries of imported goods during December 2024 were Singapore worth US$69.30 million, China worth US$33.69 million, and Russia US$12.62 million.

Southeast Sulawesi's trade balance in December 2024 experienced a surplus of US$189.05 million.
