Abstract

The NTP of Southeast Sulawesi in October 2024 was recorded at 114.21 or decreased by 2.07 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 116.62.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

The NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. The NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.

The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Southeast Sulawesi in October 2024 fell by 2.07 percent from 116.62 to 114.21. This decrease in the NTP was due to the price index received by farmers (It) falling by 2.03 percent, while the price index paid by farmers (Ib) rose by 0.04 percent.

The NTP of each subsector was recorded as follows: Food Crops Subsector (NTPP) 96.86; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 105.20; People's Plantation Crops Subsector (NTPR) 130.94; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 106.34 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 99.28. Meanwhile, the National NTP Index was 120.70 or increased by 0.33 percent from the previous month of 120.30.
