Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in March 2024 was 11.21 percent, down 0.22 percentage points compared to March 2023
  • The number of poor people in March 2024 was 319.71 thousand people, an increase of 1.82 thousand people compared to March 2023.
  •  The percentage of urban poor people in March 2024 was 7.45 percent, an increase compared to March 2023 which was 7.40 percent. Meanwhile, the percentage of poor rural residents in March 2024 was 13.60 percent, a decrease compared to March 2023 which was 13.94 percent.
  • Compared to March 2024, the number of urban poor in March 2024 increased by 2.72 thousand people (from 79.89 thousand people in March 2023 to 82.61 thousand people in March 2024). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of poor rural residents fell by 4.54 thousand people (from 241.64 thousand people in March 2023 to 237.10 thousand people in March 2024).
  • The Poverty Line in March 2024 was recorded at IDR 462,715/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 346,345 (74.85 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 116,370 (25.15 percent).
  • In March 2024, on average poor households in Southeast Sulawesi will have 5.71 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 2,642,103/poor household/month.
