In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Southeast Sulawesi Province was 2.35 percent

Abstract

  • In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sulawesi Tenggara Province will be 2.35 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.79. The highest inflation occurred in Baubau City at 3.01 percent with a CPI of 107.07 and the lowest occurred in Konawe Regency at 1.51 percent with a CPI of 107.26.
  • Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.78 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.81 percent; health group by 0.06 percent; transportation group by 0.67 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.51 percent; education group at 3.42 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.16 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.67 percent. The expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 1.12 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.05 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.89 percent.
  • Sulawesi Tenggara Province experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.09 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.27 percent.
