Southeast Sulawesi NTP in December 2018 decreased by 0.81 percent compared to the previous month

Abstract

  • Southeast Sulawesi NTP in December 2018 was recorded 94.93 or decreased by 0.81 percent compared to the previous month which was recorded at 95.70. The NTP of each subsector is listed as follows: Food Crop Subsector (NTPP) 88.82; Horticulture Subsector (NTPH) 95.75; Community Plantation Crop Subsector (NTPR) 87.12; Livestock Subsector (NTPT) 105.14 and Fisheries Subsector (NTNP) 116.23. While the National NTP Index is 103.16, up by 0.04 percent from the previous 103.12.
  • In December 2018, nationally 11 provinces experienced an increase in NTP, while 22 other provinces experienced a decline in NTP. The highest increase was recorded in Maluku Province, which amounted to 0.81 percent, while the largest decrease was recorded in West Sulawesi Province by 2.34 percent.
  • In December 2018 the Southeast Sulawesi Province recorded rural inflation of 0.29 percent. This happened because of an increase in the price index in the five household consumption groups, namely the foodstuffs group rose 0.40 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group 0.19 percent; housing group 0.47 percent; health group 0.14 percent; and from the transportation and communication group rose by 0.22 percent. While the clothing group fell by 0.07 percent and there was no change in the index in the education, recreation and sports groups.
