Abstract

  • Inflation of Kendari City in January 2018, delayed by 0.59 percent with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) 126.02. National of 82 cities calculating inflation 79 cities were caught inflation and 3 cities recorded deflation. The highest inflation in Bandar Lampung (Lampung Province) was 1.42 percent and the lowest inflation in Tangerang (Province of Banten) was 0.04 percent.
  • Inflation occurring in Kendari was delayed due to the rise of five price indexes in the foodstuff category of 2.52 percent; finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco 0.09 percent; Health 0.02 percent; education, recreation and sports groups as well as transport, communications and financial services groups by 0.01 percent.
  • The declining price index in the clothing group was 0.27 percent and housing, air, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.08 percent.
  • The commodities that contributed the largest inflation were rice; bloating / banyar / gembolo / aso-aso; kite / bengkol; milkfish / sponge; tomatoes; vegetable vegetables; chicken eggs; chicken meat; fuel; and papaya
  • Commodities that provide deficiency deficiency are skipjack / scales; air transport; spinach; household fuel; banana heart; men's jeans trousers; egg yolk; mustard greens; women sersin trousers and powder / liquid detergent soap.
  • Of the eleven cities on the island of Sulawesi, the whole city is on inflation. The highest inflation in Pare-pare (South Sulawesi Province) was 1.38 percent with CPI of 128.02. The lowest inflation in Manado (North Sulawesi Province) is 0.49 percent with CPI of 129.34.
  • The inflation rate of Kendari City in the calendar year (January 2018) is 0.59 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2018 to January 2017) is 2.66 percent.
  • The inflation rate of the same period of calendar year (January 2017) was 0.88 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (January 2017 to January 2016) was 2.45 percent weighted.
