Gini Rasio of Southeast Sulawesi Province in September 2017 of 0.404 Increased from March 2017

Abstract

  • In September 2017, the level of inequality of Southeast Sulawesi population expenditure as measured by Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.404. This figure increased by 0.010 points compared to Gini Ratio in March 2017 of 0.394. Meanwhile, if compared to Gini Ratio September 2016 which is equal to 0.388, Gini Ratio September 2017 rose by 0.016 points.
  • Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2017 was recorded at 0.408 higher than Gini Ratio in March 2017 which was 0.403 and Gini Ratio September 2016 which was 0.395. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2017 was recorded at 0.373 compared to Gini Ratio in March 2017 which amounted to 0.358 and Gini Ratio September 2016 which amounted to 0.352.
  • In September 2017, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 15.96 percent. This means that the population expenditure is still in the category of moderate inequality level. If specified by region, in urban areas the figure is 15.77 percent which means it is in the category of moderate inequality. While for rural areas, the figure was recorded at 17.32 percent, which means fall into the category of low inequality.
