Enumeration of Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) 2024, BPS-Kolaka Utara Regency

June 20, 2024 | BPS Activities

The 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) is a series of activities for the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) which will be carried out throughout Indonesia. The Agricultural Economic Survey (SEP) is a follow-up survey after the complete ST2023 census which is expected to be carried out periodically by recommendations from The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The main objective of SEP is to obtain data on the economic aspects of agricultural business units, including income, expenditure, cost structure, and welfare indicators of agricultural business units in Indonesia. Apart from that, SEP provides basic data to monitor one of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs) goal 2 indicators, especially indicators 2.3.2 and 2.4.1.

Implementation of SEP field data collection starts from June 1 to June 30 2024 and in the North Kolaka Regency area, SEP data collection uses the PAPI mode. To maintain the quality of the data produced, inspection is carried out by PML and field supervision, and at the processing stage coding editing will be carried out.

We hope that the results of the 2024 SEP data collection will be useful in formulating policies in the agricultural sector for food sovereignty and farmer welfare
