Livestock sub-sector is one of the sub-sectors that contributes to the national economy and is able to absorb labor, so that it can be relied upon in an effort to improve the national economy. In addition, the availability of livestock products will directly improve the nutritional status of the community, especially for fulfilling calorie and animal protein. Fulfillment of public consumption of calories and animal protein will improve the quality of human resources (HR).



To fulfill the demand for data needs in the form of livestock meat production, BPS North Kolaka also collected data through slaughterhouses (RPH) and slaughterhouses (TPH). Data collection uses a complete enumeration method for all RPH / TPH in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. The data collected included the number of cattle slaughtered, the production of slaughter of livestock, the origin of livestock cut, and the reason for cutting female cattle.



The purpose of collecting livestock withholding data is: (1) to obtain the production of the results of slaughter of livestock in RPH / TPH. (2) Obtain the number of cattle cut according to the area of ​​origin of livestock. (3) Obtaining the number of livestock cut according to livestock ownership (4) Obtaining the number of cattle slaughter outside of RPH / TPH.

In North Kolaka Regency, the number of RPH / TPH collected is 5 RPH / TPH. The five objects of enumeration were spread in Ngapa, Lasusua and Lambai Districts. While the number of data collection officers for RPH / TPH is 2 organic BPS North Kolaka.



The results of the RPH / TPH enumeration in Quarter IV 2018 in North Kolaka Regency were obtained by the total number of cattle slaughtered in RPH / TPH totaling 100, all of which were bali cattle. The details of the number of Bali cows that are cut per month are October as many as 30, November 35 and December 35. Of the total number of cattle cut, the number of female cattle cut was 13 while the rest were bulls. The average meat production per tail is in the range of 65-110 kg per head. Enumeration of RPH / TPH for the fourth quarter was completed in January 2019 and the enumeration results were sent to the BPS of the Southeast Sulawesi Province.
