Grain Conversion Survey to Rice in 2018 (SKGB2018)

Rice production statistics are one of the most strategic and important food statistics generated from multiplication between harvested area data with productivity data and conversion rate of Harvested Dry Rice (GKP) to Milled Dry Grain (GKG). In addition to rice production data, the data needed by the government in the formulation of food policy is production data in the form of rice. Calculation of rice production is carried out by using conversion rates of Unhulled Rice (GKG) to Rice.

To get a more accurate and up-to-date conversion of GKP to GKG and GKG to rice as a material for calculating national rice production, BPS carried out Grain Conversion Survey to Rice in 2018 (SKGB2018). SKGB2018 field implementation has begun since March 2018 and will end on August 31, 2018.

The Final Goal of the implementation of SKGB2018 is to produce an accurate conversion number so that it can provide an overview of the availability of more representative and valid rice.
